The Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion
The Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion located along Leith Street is one of the most beautiful mansion in Malaysia and being awarded as the Asia-Pacific Heritage Awards by Unesco in 2000.Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion was built in 1904, it was believed that the construction took around 7 years to complete the mansion.In the 19th century,the wealthy Hakkas have turned Leight Street into their own upper crust neighborhood.Cheong Fatt Tze who welded enormous economic power in Penang.

The Church Street Pier in Penang Island
The Church Street Pier was built in 1897 in Penang Island.It was located along the northern channel of the island where boats could unload their wares.I was a busy main pier for commercial interaction where small boats unload their cargo.
The following is the newly rebuilt of Church Street Pier by Tanjung Marina Club which is a high-end waterfront club house which also provides yacht services.

The Cheong Fatt Tze Mension -Before Restoration
This is the picture of the Cheong Fatt Tze Mension before restoration.This flamboyant masterpiece consists of 38 rooms, 5 courtyards,7 staircases and 220 windows.The Cheong Fatt Tze Mension restoration started in 1991.The restoration project made an astounding success eventhough initially it was lack of funding and obstacles on various issues.
With the help from many people,artisans from China were imported coupled with many talented local craftmen the project was finally completed in 1995.It was also awarded as the "Most Excellent Project" for UNESCO Asia Pacific Cultural Heritage Awards in year 2000.
